PARENT MEETING DECEMBER 1st

North Shore Twins Baseball Club will conduct its 1st parent meeting for the 2012 season on Thursday, December 1st from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm at the Lynn Valley Community Meeting Room. All are welcome. We will start the meeting as a group but break off into corners as the subjects becone program specific.
The Lynn Valley Community Meeting Room is adjacent to the Public Library in Lynn Valley Village which is located at the corner of Lynn Valley Road and Mountain Highway in North Vancouver. There is ample underground parking assessible at Mountain Highway and Ross Road. See you there!

TWINS ALUMNUS CROUSE AN MVP

Our 2008 Twins grad, Micheal Crouse has been named an All-star in both regular and post-season play! In news from the Lansing Lugnuts, "...and Michael Crouse were voted to the Postseason All-Star Team. Marisnick, Crouse, Marcus Knecht and since-promoted closer Steve Turnbull were voted to represent the Lugs at the 2011 Midwest League All-Star Game at Quad Cities, with three outfielders all starting the game." Congratulations, Michael!
FONTAINE OFF TO TORONTO

After an outstanding 2011 season with the Premier Twins, Lachlan Fontaine has been invited to attend the Mizuno Elite Development Camp at Rogers Center in Toronto September 8-10. He will join other top Canadaian 15- and 16-year-olds for the exclusive camp, which is hosted by MLB, Blue Jays, Team Canada and Mizuno. Read more about it. BLUE JAYS ARTICLE - SEPT 8th.
FALL BALL BEGINS SEPTEMBER 7TH

Starting on Wednesday, September 7th the North Shore Twins Baseball Club will again run Fall Ball seasons for all three of its programs — Premier, Junior and Prep. Fall Ball is a relatively light combination of practices, games and tournaments in the lower mainland, and in some cases the Island, against other leagues and other PBL clubs. The seasons typically end around mid-October, or when the weather turns.

TWINS NAMED TO PNC TEAMS

The North Shore Twins Baseball Club is proud to annouce that several Twins have been named to PNC teams for the 2011 Northwest Championships taking place in Centralia, WA from August 11th-14th.
The Premier Twins are sending Jordan Kellof (2012) and Lachlan Fontaine (2013). Junior Twins, Tristan Graham, Clark Grisbrook (reserve), Mitch Grisbrook, Riley MacDonald, Robbey Panico, George Upton were named to the 2013 team and Griffy Goyer was named to the 2014 team along with Emmerson Dohm and Anthony Cusatti in reserve.
TWINS MAKE TEAM BC!

The North Shore Twins' Louis Boyd & Kyle Olver have been named to Team BC for the 2011 Canada Cup which takes place in Moncton, NB from August 10th to 14th.
In addition, several members of the North Shore Junior Twins have been named to Team BC that will compete in the Western Canada Summer Games from August 6 to 9... They are: Anthony Cusati, Emerson Dohm, Griffy Goyer, Alex Owen, Dylan Thorpe, Trevor Weirsma.
Congratulations, boys! We'll be cheering from Parkgate!
FOUR TWINS TO SELECT CAMP

This time next week, four North Shore Twins players, Louis Boyd, Lachlan Fontaine, Jordan Kellof & Kyle Olver, will be at BC Selects Camp in Langley to compete for spots on Team BC for the 2011 Canada Cup which takes place in Moncton, NB in August. GOOD LUCK BOYS!

North Shore Twins Alumni were recently recognized for their outstanding play with the Douglas College Royals! KP Hlatky (OF 2010) earned top Gold Glove honors for his defensive play, while Sean Callegari (LHP 2010) was named 2nd Team All-star.

Brandon Kaye, a key member of the North Shore Twins squad that began the famous Threepeat in 2007, signed as a Free Agent with the Toronto Blue Jays yesterday! Kaye played for the Doulas Royals and UBC Thunderbirds for two years each, and is expected to begin his professional career with the Vancouver Canadians this season. JR TWINS WIN 2011 LANGLEY JR BLAZE INVITATIONAL

The Jr Twins went into the annual Langley Jr Blaze tournament playing some good baseball and, with quality pitching, great defence and a balanced offensive attack, managed to win two of three qualifying games, the semi-finals and then knock off the Langley Jr Blaze to win the Championship! GRAHAM SIGNS WITH UBC

The North Shore Twins Baseball Club takes great pride in congratulating Alex Graham, who recently signed a Letter of Intent to attend UBC and play for the Thunderbirds beginning in the Fall of 2011. UBC was Graham's first choice in schools, and he intends to pursue a degree in Engineering.
Graham is product of Highlands Little League (North Vancouver, BC) who first joined the Twins program as a Prep. He was a captain of the Junior Twins in 2009 and will be a key leader on the Premier Twins in 2011. At the Canada Cup held in August 2010, Graham earned a gold medal as a member of Team BC; more recently, he pitched for Team BC at the Arizona Sr Fall Classic.
The Twins' Head Coach, Larson Bauck, said, ""We are very happy for Alex as he has worked extremely hard to get to where he is at. Alex has shown tremendous dedication to his personal developement and has been a great leader on and off the field for the Twins program."
The Tbirds are currently 10th in NAIA preseason rankings after their 7th-place finish in 2010. Graham will join Twins Alumni Keaton Briscoe ('09), Andrew Madsen ('09) and Brandon Kaye ('07) on the Tbirds roster.
